Thursday Night 17-Mile Bike Ride from West Acton

Join us for a 17-mile ride through Acton, Boxborough, Harvard, and Stow. Rolling terrain. Ride will be moderate (13-14mph) leaving promptly at 6pm, Douglas School parking lot, 21 Elm St. Acton. No advance sign-up necessary. Helmet, water, spare tube, and bike in good working order required. Probably a good idea to have visible front and back lights. Rain cancels, check this website for a cancellation notice. Please arrive by 5:45pm so that you can get your bike ready. We leave promptly at 6pm.

Tues Evening Road Ride- Lexington

Join me for a 15 mile ride leaving from Lexington Common. Meet at 5:45 for a prompt 6pm departure. We will ride roads at a moderate pace of 11-13 mph.

Boxborough to Kimball Fruit Farm (by way of Hollis, NH)

Please join us for a 45-50 mi moderately paced hilly ride starting in Boxborough, through Littleton, Harvard, Ayer, and Groton, with lunch stop at Kimball Fruit Farm in Pepperell, MA. This will be a moderate paced hilly ride with an average of 12-13 MPH. We'll proceed through Hollis and Nashua, NH, returning by way of Dunstable, Tyngsboro, and Westford before heading back to Boxborough. Expect beautiful scenery, with some steep and challenging climbs. Bring your lunch and water, bike in good working order, helmets req. Rain cancels.

Annual Bicycling Weekend on Nantucket

Enjoy a summer weekend on beautiful Nantucket Island, cycling on its plentiful bike paths, swimming in the ocean and sightseeing. We will ride to the coastal village of Siasconset, and make a stop on Quonset Beach on Saturday, and ride to Makadet on Sunday. We'll also walk the island's scenic cliffs at Siasconset, and enjoy the beach next to our historic lodging at the Star of the Seas Hostel.

Laura's birthday ride

Please join us for a lovely 20 mile tour around the greater tri-town area leaving from Maynard (at one time was known as the mini computer capital of the world). We will complete the ride in about 1.5 hr. All riders should arrive by 6:00 and be ready to mount for a 6:15 start time. The departure address is 17 Maple street in bustling downtown Maynard. You will need a bike in good working order, helmet, spare tube and of course some water. If rain does not cancel the ride we will fire up the grill for burgers and franks afterwards in celebration of Laura's birthday.

Shining Sea Bike Ride

Join the 40 Plus Wednesday Wramblers on a 22-mile round trip bike ride along the picturesque Shining Sea bike path from North Falmouth to Woods Hole, returning the same way. Beautiful views of marshes and rivers, then the ocean as the trail winds along the Vineyard Sound shoreline. Mostly flat with subtle inclines. Lunch in Woods Hole - Pie in the Sky Bakery and Café highly recommended - and time to explore the village off season
Trivia: The Shining Sea bikeway was named after the lyrics to "America the Beautiful," written by Falmouth native Katharine Lee Bates.
