FAMILY CAMPING ON CAPE COD, NICKERSON STATE PARK, BREWSTER, MA. We will camp at Nickerson State Park, a short walk from the beach at Flax Pond, where there is swimming, non-motorized boating, frog catching, biking and general fun. CHOOSE THE DAYS YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME! (2 night minimum on the weekend). Great for kids/teens of all ages. Convenient to the Outer Cape and local attractions, bike trails, and bayside beaches. Informal group activities may include group biking trips, swimming and excursions. Group size is 25-30. Group site for tenting. Breakfast and dinner included.

This trip is ONLY available to participants of the Spring Hiking Program. This car camp weekend will start off Friday night at CRAZY HORSE FAMILY CAMPGROUND, 788 HILLTOP ROAD, LITTLETON, NH, where we will set up tents and socialize. Saturday morning we will wake up early with a pancake breakfast and carpool to Mount Moriah . Mt Moriah is bare rock above tree line, offering incredible views on a clear day with 360° views of the Presidential Range and the rest of the Carter-Moriah Range.

He is heavily engaged in the H/B leadership and training programs such as Spring/Fall Leadership Training as well as our educational programs in the Spring and Winter Hiking Programs. Like other hikers that hike before sun up and after sun down and do 20+ miles, Casey likes to do the same only keep it under 10 miles :) He's experienced but not a speed daemon

Young Members Summer Camp Weekend at AMC's Cold River Camp

Join AMC Boston Young Members as we kick off the summer with a weekend of outdoor fun at AMC's Cold River Camp in North Chatham, NH. In true summer camp style, a variety of hiking and other activities will be offered each day as we explore the Evans Notch region of the White Mountains. Hikes will be offered each day for all experience levels. After hiking cool off with a swim, or return to camp to relax in the main lodge where dinner will be served. Enjoy socializing after dinner around the bonfire, or with games or other activities in the lodge.

We have planned a night out with a fire and Smores and family friendly canoe experience coupled with friendly walks and hikes on local trails.

Brian enjoys leading urban walking trips as well as 4 season trips for families in Boston and new Hampshire. Both backpacks as well as hikes are interesting and fun for children and their families. Within the last year, he has been involved with shelter, hut and all season experiences in the whites.

YM Labor Day Weekend: CAPE COD BIKE AND BEACH TRIP

Join AMC Young Members (20s-30s) for a Labor Day weekend cycling, hiking, kayaking, and swimming on Cape Cod! Enjoy three days of moderate cycling, car camping, sightseeing, seaside hikes and great company. We will cycle approximately 20 miles a day (with breaks!), with destinations depending on the group's interests. All levels of cycler's are welcome on this trip, and there are bike rental options near the park. Within Nickerson State Park there are opportunities for renting canoes and kayaks and swimming in kettle ponds, along with niceties like bathrooms and showers.

Enjoy a roaring evening campfire, swimming in Lake Elmore, picnic opportunities, and woodsy campsites next to a babbling brook. Limited to 6 experienced hiker campers.

1st Annual Family Connecticut River Munn's Ferry Paddle Overnight, Northfield, MA

Join Family Outings for our first annual Connecticut River Paddle Overnight. We put in at Pauchaug Brook, Northfield, MA Saturday late morning and paddle ~ 5.6 miles down the River to Munn's Ferry where we camp Saturday night. Sunday after breakfast we pack up and get an early start to avoid the wind. We paddle ~ 3.2 miles to an early lunch at Riverview Picnic and Recreation Area and then another 5.3 miles to our take-out at Barton's Cove.
