Join us for a level 2 paddle at Woods Hole. This ~12 mile paddle will cross main channel to Hadley's harbor where we will play in some current in the gutters, then return across the channel to the launch. Woods Hole channel has strong currents and boat traffic. In addition, there may be strong (15-20 knot) tailwinds in the afternoon. This trip is ideal for those seeking to improve their paddling skills in moderate currents. Helmets are needed when playing around rocks and current.

Paddle and camp in Casco bay in Maine. We establish a base camp and explore various islands including Jewell. Winds and weather can change these plans. This trip is for level 2 paddlers who can pack their own boat, launch, land, and maneuver a loaded kayak in variable ocean conditions and weather. Expect to paddle 8-12 miles each day at ~2.5 mph pace (moderate). Estimated cost is $50 for food.
Jeff has been leading kayak and camping trips in Maine and Massachusetts for 15+ years. Group meals and tasty food are an important component to his trips and participants are expected to help prepare and clean.

Four day adventure paddling around Deer Isle in Maine. Beautiful scenery and great campsites on MITA islands. This is a level 2 trip with 8-11 miles per day in mostly protected water, although be aware that weather can change on the coast over four days. Participants must be experienced packing, launching/landing, and maneuvering loaded boats since we will be moving camp each day.
Are you up for an ambitious paddle around Naushon Island? We'll paddle ~17 naughts at a 3.5mph pace (level 3). We'll get a tidal and tail wind push back in the afternoon and opportunity for surfing! This trip is not for casual paddlers - you'll need suitable boat, be able to keep up, and experience in following seas. Registration is required - please provide your boat make & length, other paddles you've done and when, plus your contact info.
Intended for those who have limited sea kayaking experience or want a refresher. This fast paced session will cover essential strokes, rescues, navigation, tides, and paddling near and across boating channels. It will take place in Hingham Harbor and will include paddling around some of the Harbor Islands. Basic kayaking skills are required, including the ability to confidently wet exit with a spray skirt. Expect a full day of instruction, training, and paddling. A 15 foot (minimum) kayak with fore and aft bulkheads, spray skirt, and PFD, are required.

Join us for a weekend camp adventure on Beal island in Maine. This trip is tailored for those that have not (or have) island camped out of a kayak. We will discuss needed gear and packing a boat as well as route planning, weather, meals, VHF basics, and other necessary topics for multi-day paddling in ocean environment. You will need paddling experience including wet exits and rescues as well as some camping experience with backpack or car (RV does not count).
