Come join our merry band of skiers and boarders as we tell tall tales of epic face plants, awesome views, and sweet powder from previous seasons and this one so far, and plan for more and better for the remainder of this season and seasons ahead. Some of our trip leaders will be there to tell you about their trips, and members of the Boston Chapter Ski Committee will be on hand to give you an idea about what we do and the great skiing to be had in New England. We will have some snacks, and you can buy beer and non-alcoholic beverages in the taproom.

Eliza has been leading/co-leading four-season hiking and backpacking trips with the AMC since 2006. She and her family (husband and 8 year old daughter) downhill ski several times each season. Eliza's family have extensive hiking and backpacking experience in the US national parks, but don't have any particular claim to fame when it comes to skiing. She is a good cook and trip planner, which is what counts on this adventure!

Family President's Day Weekend at AMC's Noble View Outdoor Center in the Pioneer Valley, about 1-1/2 hours west of Boston. Activities include hiking, snow shoeing, x-c skiing, and family 'snow fun' like sledding or making snow people! The accommodations are rustic, but comfortable and cozy, heated by wood stoves. The twin beds have mattresses, but we bring pillows, sheets, and blankets or sleeping bags. We need to be flexible regarding sleeping arrangements which may be co-ed to keep families together and some kids will be in sleeping bags on the floor.
Join us on January 10 at the Night Shift Brewery in Everett, MA (www.nightshiftbrewing.com). Come to socialize, try new beer, find out about the great skiing trips planned with the AMC this winter, connect with other local ski-savvy people, and to pick the brains of those who know what's going on in the ski world. Appetizers provided free of charge.

Come ski with us!
If you are a skier or snowboarder of any type, and would like to get engaged with leading trips and helping to organize ski related events this is the meeting to be at.
While the discussions are predominantly around coordinating trips and events, this is a great opportunity to get in contact with other skiers, see what we have to offer, and to find a place to help develop ski and snow related outings and events.
Please contact Mike Bratina at email@example.com for the meeting details.
