Kids Intro to Fishing trip, Medfield, MA

Sunday, June 23, 2019 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Family Kids Learn to Fish class. Come join us 8 am - 11 am as we teach kids ages 6 and up to learn the basics about bait fishing. We cover topics such as reading water, bait, lures, bobbers. We meet at Rocky Woods in Medfield, MA by 8am Sunday June 23rd. You don't need a fishing license.

Since we have a limited number of rods, we will restrict this to 10 kids plus parent(s). Remember to bring water, snacks and/or lunch.

Family Hike Summer Star Wildlife Sanctuary Berlin, MA (BHP Level 1 and 2)

Mission: This forty-five acres of natural land is home to plants, streams, glacial boulders, and wild animals large and small. It is our mission to protect and care for wildlife habitats, trails, forests, streams, and wetlands.

The sanctuary is a place of tranquility and self-reflection. It loves rocks, trees, and birds. In that loving, we find nourishment for our spirits and our souls.

July 4th Family Weekend AMC Shapleigh Bunkhouse, Crawford Notch, NH

Join other families for a weekend in beautiful Crawford Notch, NH! AMC Boston Family Outings has reserved the Shapleigh Bunkhouse (next to the Highland Center) for July 4th weekend. Join us for some great hiking, socializing, and fun with the family. Summer hiking is awesome with beautiful views and warm temperatures. Hikes will be designed to fit the ages and interests of the kids including a hike up Mt. Willard (3.2 miles RT) with gorgeous views down into Crawford Notch; a classic "big bang for your buck" hike. AMC Ponkapoag Camp Family Canoeing, Hiking, and Primitive Camping Overnight, Blue Hills Reservation, Milton, MA

Join us for family camping with canoe and hiking adventures, group dinner, campfire, S'mores and lots of fun. AMC Ponkapaug Camp is on the eastern shore of the 230-acre Ponkapoag Pond in the 8,500 acre Blue Hills Reservation just 13 miles south of downtown Boston. We have planned a night out with a fire and Smores and family friendly canoe experience coupled with friendly walks and hikes on local trails.

Jeanne also leads for AMC Adventure Travel, having led to Switzerland, Peru (Machu Picchu), and Morocco and has trips coming up to New Zealand and Fiji/Tonga.

Enjoy private lakefront cabins w/shared bathhouse (w/shower) or a shared lakefront bunkhouse with 4 rooms with 4 bunk beds in each room. Enjoy an extensive trail network, beautiful Second Roach Pond, paddle boarding, kayaks and canoeing just steps away from our cabins and bunkhouse. On a clear night perhaps we can look through their telescope at the night sky.

Harold Parker Family Canoeing, Hiking, and Primitive Camping Overnight, Stearns Pond, Andover, MA

Join us for a night out with a fire and Smores and family friendly canoe experience coupled with hikes thru Harold Parker State Forest and adjacent Trails. We will relish the night out experience sleeping next to a pond in a tent with the sleeping bag and pad for bedding. The presence of other families......and of course canoeing and walks will give everyone a short but fun filled outdoors overnight. Canoes, life jackets and instruction is included. Camping is primitive (no running water or flush toilets not to speak of showers). Cost/person: Adults $25; Kids: $20.

Family Camping on Cape Cod, MA

FAMILY CAMPING ON CAPE COD, NICKERSON STATE PARK, BREWSTER, MA. We will camp at Nickerson State Park, a short walk from the beach at Flax Pond, where there is swimming, non-motorized boating, frog catching, biking and general fun. CHOOSE THE DAYS YOU WOULD LIKE TO COME! (2 night minimum on the weekend). Great for kids/teens of all ages. Convenient to the Outer Cape and local attractions, bike trails, and bayside beaches. Informal group activities may include group biking trips, swimming and excursions. Group size is 25-30. Group site for tenting. Breakfast and dinner included.

FAMILY FALL WEEKEND AT SUB SIG CABIN, CRAWFORD NOTCH

Join us for a weekend at Sub Sig Cabin in Hart's location in Crawford Notch, NH down the road from AMC Highland Center. This is a half century old hidden jewel …in fact it is called Hart's location and the cabin ( Sub Sig) is rustic, but comfy with an outhouse ( yeah) and hauled in water. We will plan a hike choice both Saturday and Sunday as well as group breakfasts and a supper prepared by us all on Saturday evening. Trip is recommended for families with kids ages 7 and up. Group size limited to 16 lucky souls.
