The Boston Chapter has open opportunities for resourceful members to help shape the direction of their Chapter. The positions serve on the Executive Committee, which represents the largest population of members within the AMC community. We are a community of 23,000 members strong and our active, energetic, and conservation-minded community is waiting for you to help lead.
The Chair has two main strategic objectives. First, to ensure the Chapter furthers the vision and mission of the AMC Organization to the local members who reside in the Boston Chapter's regions. Second, to ensure that the executive committee functions properly, that there is maximum participation at meetings, all relevant matters are discussed, and that effective decisions are made and carried out.
The Vice Chair serves on the Executive Committee and has 2 primary objectives: To provide support and supervision to the Chair, and perform Chair responsibilities when the Chair is not available; and to be the parliamentarian of the committee.
The Secretary serves on the Executive Committee and has an overall objective of maintaining written records of each committee meeting and ensuring timely distribution of such records to all its members.
The Treasurer serves on the Executive Committee and has an overall objective of overseeing the management and reporting of the Chapter's finances in accordance with its Bylaws.
