Walk with Thoreau in Billerica

Trip dates: Saturday, June 16, 2018 9:45 AM to 1:00 PM

Join a guided walk to explore extant portions of the Historic Middlesex Canal, reading passages from Henry David Thoreau describing the towpath, from the 'Billerica Falls to Middlesex Village' in his 'A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers'. It is a three hour easy walk. Knee high boots recommended! Focus: Camaraderie and local history. Meet at the gazebo at the falls (across from 71 Faulkner Street, N. Billerica, MA). This walk is one of many RiverFest events.
