Join us on Sunday, August 5th for a hike to North and South Kinsman, two of New Hampshire's 4000 footers. We will approach from the west, using the scenic Reel Brook Trail to make our way to Kinsman Ridge and then will descend via the Mount Kinsman Trail. This 11.5-mile hike includes 3500 feet of elevation gain, several stream crossings and some rock scrambles, so be sure you and comfortable with fairly rugged terrain. We will hike at a moderate pace of 1.5-2 mph, passing the beautiful cascades on Eliza Brook and the remote Harrington Pond. As this will be a challenging but interesting hike, participants should have experience with 9+ mile hikes with an elevation gain of over 3000 feet.
