Join the Wednesday Wramblers for a 24 mile bike ride on the scenic Bruce Freeman Rail Trail from Acton to Lowell and back. We will begin by biking on the recently opened section of the trail in Acton and then make our way past wetlands, conservation areas, Heart Pond and residential neighborhoods to the terminus in Lowell. The path is paved and is suitable for any type of bike. We will meet at the trail parking lot behind Donelans Market at 248 Great Road in Acton at 10:00 AM. Please bring water, snacks and clothing suitable for the day. Your bike must be in good working condition with tires pumped up in advance.

I began leading bike trips for the AMC in 1990 and led for ten years before taking a break. When I became active with the Forty Plus Committee I decided to start leading again. I took a refresher leadership course and Wilderness First Aid and now I am certified as a cross-country ski and bike leader. I have met many wonderful leaders and trip participants and Forty Plus has become one of my most enjoyable retirement activities.
