East Providence to Bristol RI and back. Picturesque Bristol is home to one of America's oldest Fourth of July celebrations in the U.S and is located on the eastern shore of Narragansett Bay. Leisurely 30-35 mile ride at an average pace of 10-12 mph on a paved rail trail. Enjoy stunning views of the Ocean State shoreline. Lunch stop at one of Bristol's superb seafood restaurants followed by side trips to Colt State Park, the Crescent Park Loof Carousel, (National Historic Landmark) and the Audubon boardwalk - depending on time and interest. Bring your helmet, a bike in good working order, a spare tube, water, and a sense of humor. Rain or any other extremes of Mother Nature cancels the ride.
