Join us on a hike to North (4,761 ft) and South Twin (4,902 ft). This hike is a minimum of 11 miles and up to 13 miles if access roads are closed by the Forest Service for the winter. Elevation gain is approximately 3,600 feet. Full winter above treeline gear might be required (see https://hb.amcboston.org/resources). This trip can be combined with Cannon Mountain hike on Sunday. Keith is an experienced 4-Season Leader with the Boston Chapter who has completed the New England 100 Highest including the New Hampshire 48 four thousand footers in winter. He has served as an instructor for both the Winter and Spring Hiking Programs as well as the Leadership Program and the WHP Above Treeline Workshop.
Joe is one of the Boston Chapter's most experienced and active trip leaders - his summit visits number in the quadruple digits. Included among the many outings he leads each year for the Chapter's Hiking/Backpacking Committee are the single-day Presidential Range traverse on the summer solstice, and the Map & Compass course in the fall.
