Please join us on this popular loop hike over the Welch-Dickey range at the southern end of NH's White Mountains, near Waterville Valley. The Welch-Dickey loop gives excellent views of the Mt. Tripyramid and the Sandwich range. The hike is steep in spots. These mountains are known for their open ledges and rock outcroppings. In bad weather and wet conditions, be cautious on this hike: the slabs can be slippery and the ridgeline is exposed.
The hike is roughly 4.4 miles miles and includes 1,800 ft elevation gain. Appropriate for ages 6 and up. Previous hiking experience strongly recommended. Registration required. Priority will be given to participants attending the Family Outings Cardigan Veterans Day Weekend Trip.
