Call me crazy, but I like to hike uphill and ski down. I prefer skins, but one needs snow for that. Current conditions suggest we hike up Pat's Peak and ski down. There might be snow for skinning, but likely will bootpack up and ski down (traction needed). This could change if we get snow, hence Registration required ( https://goo.gl/forms/rB2hMI9q4xC7GVT93 ).
It's a great workout and should be part of your training regiment as you prepare for winter. Exercise, outdoors, skiing. Nothing crazy about that.
Jeff leads ski trips all over New England as well as Utah. He particularly enjoys backcountry skiing in fresh, soft snow. He is also tolerant and patient given most New England winters (but remember 2015??)
