Instead of our previously scheduled bike ride it looks like the weather will be more conducive to a walk. Please join the Wednesday Wramblers for a walk in Noanet Woodlands. We will walk approximately 5-6 miles through the Trustees of Reservations Noanet Woodlands. We will enjoy views from Noanet Peak as well as ponds and a mill/dam site. This will be a relatively easy walk but please, no sneakers. The trails may be muddy so hiking boots will be necessary. Poles are optional depending on your preference. We do not allow dogs on this hike. Please bring water, layers and a snack. Afterwards we will gather for an optional lunch, snack or hot beverage at a local restaurant.
I began leading bike trips for the AMC in 1990 and led for ten years before taking a break. When I became active with the Forty Plus Committee I decided to start leading again. I took a refresher leadership course and Wilderness First Aid and now I am certified as a cross-country ski and bike leader. I have met many wonderful leaders and trip participants and Forty Plus has become one of my most enjoyable retirement activities.
