Avalanche Awareness Talk

Trip dates: Tuesday, December 18, 2018 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Being in the mountains in the winter can be a very fun and magical experience. But like all outdoors activities there are hazards that we need to be aware of. Avalanches are one of those winter specific hazards and they do happen in the Northeast. If you would like to learn more about avalanches and start learning about how to avoid this hazard, this talk is a great place to start. During this hour long presentation we will go over the basics of avalanches using some local examples and discuss steps you can take to be avalanche aware.

Become more outdoors educated; see cool photos and videos of winter activities; connect with other winter outdoors enthusiasts; get stoked for snow - there is a whole lot of awesome here.

The talk will be held on Tuesday December 18, 2018 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the AMC City Square location.
