LETS HIKE BALD HILL CONSERVATION AREA

Trip dates: Saturday, December 1, 2018 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

We'll hike Bald Hill Conservation Area, including the Wildlife Sanctuary, Boxford State Forest and Wunnegen Conservation Land. Meet at 1:00 pm at Middleton Road/Boxford MA parking area. We'll hike 4-5 miles along a section of the Bay Circuit Trail and other woodland trails that meander around Crooked Pond and through the southeast section of this extensive conservation area, while exploring its unique ecology, wildlife and visit a graveyard of former inhabitants, that lived here during the 1700 and 1800s, including an individual who fought in the Revolutionary War. This section of Bald Hill Conservation Area is one of my favorite places to hike.

Directions:

From I-95, take Exit 51 onto Endicott Street toward Middleton (west) and take the first right onto Middleton Road. Parking area 1.6 miles on left.
